Wayne Metals, LLC to expand Markle facility
(Markle, IN) – Wayne Metals, LLC, announced a 38,000 square foot building expansion at a groundbreaking ceremony held Tuesday morning at their Markle facility.
Founded initially to produce Special Equipment parts for International Harvester in Fort Wayne, Wayne Metals, LLC has come a long way. Today, the company employs 185 skilled professionals across its three manufacturing facilities, with two located in Markle and one in Allen County, specializing in stamping, fabrication, and powder coating.
This expansion marks a pivotal moment for the company, as it not only enhances current manufacturing operations but also creates the capacity for future expansion in the coming years.
In addition to the expansion, Wayne Metals, LLC announced the investment in a state-of-the-art Fiber laser cell. This strategic investment will bolster their competitive edge in the market, supporting their vision of continued growth and industry leadership.
These projects are scheduled for completion over the next twelve months, with the expanded facilities and advanced equipment poised to take Wayne Metals, LLC to new heights of excellence.

The construction of this project will be performed by Bluffton-based Briner Building.

Based on the company’s investment and job creation plans, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) and the Town of Markle have committed incentives to support of the project.
