Bluffton Recognized as #1 Place to Start a Business in Indiana
In a July 6th article that was posted in Small Business about the best places to start a business in Indiana, Bluffton topped the list.
The study was conducted by the group NerdWallet who analyzed 99 places in Indiana, each with a population of at least 5,000 and at least 500 businesses. The group calculated the overall score for every location based on the city’s business climate and economic health using data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
Bluffton is recognized as the #1 place to start a business in Indiana for a variety of factors. Likely the most important factor being that the local businesses in Bluffton accumulate the second-highest average revenue per business at $5.06 million.
Another huge component in Bluffton topping the list is the city’s affordable housing cost. With a median monthly housing cost at $571, Bluffton ranks as the second-most affordable place for housing.
Furthermore, Bluffton has a high percentage of businesses with paid employees (36.39%) and businesses per 100 people (10.43).
The City of Bluffton is served by the Wells County Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development, which provides workforce development, networking and marketing opportunities through numerous events and programs throughout the year.
